The Pilates Gathering

We gather under the Monument to Freedom, The Wallace Monument, with Stirling Castle just across the river. An inspiring place with a mission. We are offering an extraordinary selection of sessions, over two days, with international presenters who have an ethos of sharing their Pilates knowledge, passion and experience. We have selected presenters who not only bring an abundance of energy and enthusiasm, but will inspire confidence in you, giving you the freedom to develop your own unique teaching skills and path.

Once again we have plenty of Reformers, Chairs, and Matwork sessions. We also welcome SpineFitter to our event with a fun Saturday morning Matwork class for all. Whether you are new or familiar to the apparatus, our sessions will offer something for everyone.

Thursday 24 September · 10:00am – 1:00pm

Author of the bestselling book HOPE for Your Pelvic Floor, Claire Sparrow leads this practical, accessible workshop exploring pelvic health through a whole-body lens. Drawing directly from the concepts in her book, Claire brings pelvic health to life through simple explanation, guided movement, and real-world application.

The workshop blends short readings, discussion, Q&A, and easy-to-integrate exercises designed to support pelvic floor health and function in everyday life. Rather than isolating the pelvic floor, it helps participants understand posture, movement, and the wider body influence pelvic health — with exercises that are gentle, effective, and immediately applicable, supporting confidence, clarity, and long-term wellbeing.

Boxing: How Joseph Became Joe +
Thursday 24 September · 2:00pm – 5:00pm

Boxing was an indispensable step on Joseph Pilates’ path to professional bodywork. His first studio was a boxing school in Gelsenkirchen in 1919. In this workshop, we’ll explore this little-known chapter of his life.

We’ll look at historical sources about his experiences in the boxing world and get to know him as a boxing coach, a referee and a professional fighter.
